C.TAG® is the next generation subsea marker system that facilitates the need for greater surveillance and improved subsea monitoring. With the growth of deepwater oil production in remote and harsher environments, low light and turbid water conditions, C.TAG® can offer greater visibility and easier identification methods for ROV operators.
Analysts within the offshore Oil and Gas industry predict an increase in the annual expenditure on ROV inspection to $2.4 billion by 2012 (DWL). The C.TAG® subsea marker system reduces the time taken by ROV pilots to identify subsea assets and so reduce the operating costs.
C.TAG® offers a complete non toxic environmental marking solution which is extremely long lasting and maintains its anti-fouling properties for the lifecycle of the marker.
Operators of offshore structures or power plants need to carefully consider the effects of fouling on the performance of offshore assets. With this requirement in mind, the C.TAG® marker system has undergone aggressive sea trials, damaged tolerance testing and extensive peel testing. The C.TAG® marker system has also been tested for over ten years in the ultra harsh fouling conditions at the depth of 6-8ft in the Falmouth river estuary.
The patented technology behind the non toxic anti-fouling performance is achieved by the production of a low surface energy face on the marker system which marine organisms find impossible to adhere to, hence maintaing its visibility for the lifecycle of the marker.
